Jewellery Care

Jewellery Care Guide

A little everyday care helps preserve the appearance of your Luna Meets Sun jewellery. Follow these simple steps to protect metallic finishes, enamel, glass, pearl details, and decorative accents.

Always follow any care instructions provided with your individual piece.

Keep Jewellery Dry

Remove jewellery before showering, swimming, washing dishes, or exercising. Avoid leaving pieces in humid spaces such as bathrooms.

If your jewellery becomes wet, gently pat it dry with a soft cloth before storing.

Apply Cosmetics First

Put jewellery on after applying perfume, lotion, sunscreen, and hairspray, allowing products to dry first.

Avoid direct contact with household cleaners and other chemicals that may affect finishes or delicate details.

Clean Gently After Wearing

Wipe jewellery with a soft, dry, non-abrasive cloth to remove surface residue.

Avoid soaking your pieces or using abrasive polishing products, toothpaste, or harsh cleaning solutions. Do not use ultrasonic or steam cleaners unless specifically recommended for that item.

Protect Delicate Details

Handle pearl, shell, glass, enamel, and stone accents gently. Avoid dropping pieces, knocking them against hard surfaces, or pulling on settings and decorative details.

When removing necklaces and bracelets, open the clasp rather than stretching or tugging the piece.

Store Pieces Separately

Keep jewellery in a dry place, ideally in individual soft pouches or separate compartments of a jewellery box.

Fasten necklace chains before storing to help reduce tangling. Keep delicate pieces away from heavier jewellery that could scratch or damage them.

Remove Before Sleeping

Take jewellery off before bed to help prevent bent posts, tangled chains, and pressure on settings.

Remove rings and bracelets before activities that involve friction, heavy lifting, or repeated contact with hard surfaces.

Understanding Wear Over Time

Plated and decorative finishes can gradually change with wear. Contact with moisture, cosmetics, and friction can affect how a finish looks over time.

Gentle cleaning, dry storage, and careful handling help maintain your jewellery’s appearance.
