Ring Size Guide
Find a comfortable fit for your Luna Meets Sun ring with our measuring guide. Ring sizes and designs vary, so always compare your measurements with the details on the individual product page.
Measure a Ring You Already Own
A ring that fits the intended finger is a useful starting point.
-
Choose a round ring that fits comfortably on the same finger and hand.
-
Place it flat over a ruler marked in millimetres.
-
Measure straight across the widest part of the inside opening, from inner edge to inner edge.
-
Record this measurement as the inside diameter.
Do not include the metal band in your measurement. Compare the result with the inside diameter listed for the ring you are considering.
Measure Your Finger
If you do not have a suitable ring:
-
Wrap a narrow strip of paper around the base of your chosen finger.
-
Keep it comfortably snug without pressing into the skin.
-
Mark where the paper overlaps.
-
Lay it flat and measure the length to the mark in millimetres.
This is your approximate finger circumference. Repeat the measurement to check consistency.
Paper measurements are an estimate. A jeweller’s ring sizer provides a more reliable fit, particularly for wide bands or when you are between sizes.
Understanding Ring Measurements
Inside diameter is the distance across the inside of a ring. Inside circumference is the distance around its inner edge. These are different measurements and should not be compared directly.
Letter and number sizes also differ between sizing systems. Check whether a product uses NZ/UK letters, US numbers, or millimetre measurements before choosing.
If the sizing system is unclear, contact us with the product name and your measurement.
Tips for a Comfortable Fit
-
Measure when your hands are at a comfortable, normal temperature.
-
Check your size more than once, as fingers can change size throughout the day.
-
Measure the intended finger on the correct hand; matching fingers can differ in size.
-
Allow for your knuckle. A ring should pass over it with slight resistance and sit comfortably at the base.
-
Wider bands may feel tighter than narrow bands of the same size.
Adjustable Rings
Only rings identified as adjustable should be adjusted. An adjustable ring still has a limited fitting range and may not fit every finger.
Follow any product-specific instructions. Do not force the band or repeatedly bend it, as this can damage the ring or its setting.
Buying a Ring as a Gift?
If possible, measure a ring the recipient wears on the intended finger. Avoid estimating from height, clothing size, or appearance.
Check our Returns & Exchanges page before purchasing if you are uncertain about the fit.
